When will preorders ship?
Unfortunately, COVID-19 had a bigger impact than we expected on the speed of export, import, and international freight, so decks and anthologies will be shipping in the fall instead of in late summer as originally planned.
Fortunately, we have brought on experienced fulfillment partners specialized in speedy regional shipping in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, and Australia/New Zealand.
You can get the latest details for every fulfillment region and distribution partner on our always-up-to-date shipping page: https://storyenginedeck.com/shipping

How do I change my pledge in BackerKit?
On the first screen of your BackeKit survey, you will see a big button that says “Get Started.” Below, in small text, it will say “or switch your pledge level.” Click that text to change your pledge.

Why can't I see add-ons?
If you can’t see many add-ons, it’s like because your current tier is for a digital reward, and does not give you access to physical add-ons.
If this is the case, begin your survey again from the beginning and click “stitch your reward tier” in the small text below the big green “Get Started” button. This will let you change to a physical reward tier.

What is the price for a digital expansion?
The short answer is: free, mostly.
Early on, backers expressed excitement for adding more cards to the deck, and I didn’t want to nickel-and-dime people, so I decided to make digital versions of the expansions available to any backer already receiving a digital or physical deck.
So not to worry, if you’re getting any version of the main deck, you’re already getting the digital expansion decks as well!

Who will have access to the translated digital decks?
If the French and Spanish translations of the main deck are unlocked, backers will have the option to select their version of the digital deck to be translated. Or if they are only receiving a physical deck and not a digital one, I am happy to provide them with a free digital copy on request to make up for the lack of printed translated decks.
The French translation will be led by science fiction writer Benoit Chartier.
The Spanish translation will be led by fantasy writer Cintain M Quintana.

Can I add-on items after the campaign?
Yes, you totally can! You’ll be able to add-on most items shown during the campaign during the BackerKit reward survey after the campaign. However, post-campaign add-ons won’t contribute toward stretch goals.

Will the T-shirt be available in ladies' cut?
Yes! You will be able to choose any size from S-3X in men’s cut and S-2X in ladies’. The shirts will be 100% cotton. I will confirm the manufacturer before surveys are sent out through BackerKit to determine which size and cut you would like.

How many pages will the print-and-play deck be?
I designed the original 150-card deck to print at full-size (3” x 3”) on 25 sheets of paper, but I am aware that a lot of teachers and community groups are looking forward to this deck and want a more economical way to produce their print-and-plays.
As such, I’ll also be releasing a scaled-down version with 2.5” x 2.5” cards that will be printable with 13 sheets of paper.
Additional cards unlocked by stretch goals will mean additional pages for the PDF.

Last Updated At: 10/14/19What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
